THE BREAKDOWN / HOW WE REPORT

How we report

Clear explanations, transparent sources, and a distinct point of view.

Reporting with context

We discover stories through company announcements, research, documentation, and other publications. We follow important details to their original sources where available, explain technical terms, and add our own practical analysis.

How automated publishing works

We use AI-assisted drafting to turn source announcements into our editorial format. Automated checks examine structure, attribution, source support, and duplicate stories before publication. These checks can miss errors; our correction contact remains open.

Claims stay attached to their source

When a company reports a result, we say so. We distinguish a published finding, a demonstration, a proposal, and a forecast. A second article repeating the same announcement does not turn it into independent confirmation.

Our four-part format

THE SHIFT introduces the change. THE PROOF explains what supports it. THE CATCH identifies the important tradeoff. YOUR MOVE gives you a practical next step. Our concluding verdict states what we think matters.

Images and attribution

We use original illustrations and appropriate official media assets. Image credits identify their origin; conceptual illustrations do not represent documentary photographs. We credit publications whose reporting informs our coverage.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error, email si@thebreakdown.si with the article URL and supporting source. Material corrections are identified in the article.

Commercial relationships

Paid placements and affiliate relationships, if introduced, will be labeled. Our publication currently includes no paid article placements or affiliate links.
